Tutoring Services Agreement

This agreement is between The Reach Method LLC (tutor) and the parent or legal guardian who signs below (client), for tutoring provided to the student named in the signature block (student).

Tutoring Services

Tutoring services are provided on a one-on-one or small group basis in the subject areas agreed upon by the tutor, client, and student. Tutoring is supplemental instruction meant to reinforce and clarify material taught in the student’s coursework. It is not a substitute for classroom instruction or the student’s own independent study.

Scheduling

Recurring weekly sessions are preferred and may be scheduled on an ongoing basis to provide consistency and ensure a regular lesson time. Individual or occasional sessions may also be booked through the tutor’s online booking system. If needed, booking requests may be made by text message, subject to the tutor’s availability and discretion. A session is considered confirmed only when the tutor has confirmed the booking and, when applicable, it has been entered into the online booking system.

Services, Rates, & Payment

Rates. Rates are subject to change annually. Rate changes do not apply to prepaid blocks already purchased.

Session length. A typical session is sixty (60) minutes. Session length is agreed upon in advance based on the student's needs. Time is billed in thirty (30) minute increments at the applicable hourly rate, with a minimum of thirty (30) minutes per session.

When payment is due. Single sessions are billed for the time actually used and payment is due at the end of the session. A prepaid block is paid in full at the time it is purchased.

Accepted forms of payment. Cash, personal check, Zelle, and invoice (credit or debit card option). Client indicates a preferred method in the signature block and may pay by any accepted method at any time.

Unpaid balances may result in suspension of services.

Prepaid Blocks

Discounted rate. The prepaid block rate of $70.00 per hour is available only with the purchase of a ten (10) hour block paid in advance. The single-session rate of $80.00 per hour applies to all other hours.

How a block is used. Each session draws from the block in thirty (30) minute increments based on the time actually used, until the block is exhausted.

When a block runs out. Once a block is fully used, sessions return to the single-session rate of $80.00 per hour unless a new block is purchased prior to the next lesson. If a session runs longer than the hours remaining in a block, the remaining hours are drawn from the block and the additional time is billed at the single-session rate.

No expiration. Prepaid block hours do not expire.

Cancellation, No-Show, & Late Arrival

Cancellation by the client. Client/student may cancel or reschedule at no charge with at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice before the scheduled start time. Notice may be given by text, email, or the online booking system. A session cancelled less than twenty-four hours before the scheduled start time is charged in full and, if applicable, counts against a prepaid block. This reflects a reserved slot that cannot be filled on short notice.

No-Show. A student who does not attend a scheduled session without notice is charged in full and, if applicable, the session is drawn from the prepaid block.

Late arrival. If the student arrives late, the session still ends at its scheduled end time and is charged in full.

Cancellation by the tutor. If the tutor cancels a session, it is not charged. A session paid for individually is refunded and a session drawn from a prepaid block is restored to the block. The tutor will offer a replacement time.

Emergencies. The tutor may waive the late-cancellation charge in a genuine emergency. Where waived, the session is not charged and any payment is refunded or restored to the block. The waiver applies only to the missed session; any session scheduled in its place is a new booking.

Photo and Video

The tutor sometimes shares photos or short videos from sessions on The Reach Method website and social media. This is entirely optional and is not required to receive tutoring.
